What I was rather hoping for was a massive Ice-Age, being almost like the old "Snowball Earth" of aeons ago, wherein only a tiny handful of Survivalists remained, possibly including my own humble self amongst them. Well, we can't have everything. Instead, we are far more likely to experience a future involving Idiocracy and The Machine Stops....
