In regards to high-meat,do animals somewhat purposely "store" meat for purposes of eating high-meat? Or,do they just eat until they're full and then, store the rest for later?(that is,if another animal doesn't get to it first).
Also,the same question could be asked of Paleo humans of a long time ago as well.And if so,how did they "store" the meat? Thanks in advance.

My guess would be yes, but since we can't interview animals it's difficult to know for sure. I've seen a Youtube video of two wild lions guarding a maggot-infested rotting zebra carcass like it was pure gold and even domesticated dogs fed plenty of food have been known to bury bones for later eating.

In my anthropology class my teacher taught us that some wild cats will actually keep any leftover carcasses in trees for up to a week. I don't think they purposely "prepare" it so much as they simply store it.

yeah,after I wrote that,I thought of squirrels who bury nuts as well.
So,where did this high-meat idea come about? Is there a thread on that somewhere?
