So well, about a month ago I did a fast. I wasn't sure how long I was going to go for, but it lasted between 6 and 7 days.

On the second day in, at a certain volume(not very much at all, just like 1 cup[400ml] or something) water would taste horrible in a way I'd not experienced before. It had a chemical sort of taste, and would hurt my throat. After I'd reached this point, my throat would become very dry, and remain so for hours. It would make me feel really thirsty... my lips, mouth and throat would go really dry, but at the same time like I should not have water(through the taste, slight headache after drinking).

About 5 days in, I started to notice aching(even had a cramp type feeling in the right-side one time), coming from around the area of my kidneys, particularly the right one. This was made worse by drinking water, and better my sleeping/resting.

Since I broke the fast I still have all these issues... Eating meat makes it go away, but then drinking water makes it return, and I need to drink water. It gets worse the longer I go without eating...

When I broke the fast, I only had a few(~3) days of rest with eating before I returned to training. I was wondering if it could just be that my kidney is weak, and needs rest to recover, or if it could be something more... It is troubling.

I never even noticed my kidneys before this...

Additional Info(in case it's not my kidneys, but something else): I feel it from the front not the back, I think I get it on both sides, but particularly the right side. I feel it a few inches below my right nipple on the right side, and on the left only slightly further down.

I don't see how it could be anything but my kidneys...

A few inches below your right nipple is the liver/gallbladder area. I believe when people report kidney pain its farther down the body and usually felt on the back.

Sounds about right. The kidneys are about halfway between your hips and spine moving around our back.
