Title: Fruitarian Horror Movie
Post by: Löwenherz on February 23, 2012, 03:27:46 am
Pure Fruit - a film by Emile Bokaer (http://vimeo.com/36666602)

I have to say that I feel sorry for these two people. They follow a fruitarian diet, they don't want to kill animals and so

they sacrifice their own bodies.

A fruitarian diet is a nice idea but we have to pay a very high price for this ideal. Fruitarians age much faster, it's shocking. Other examples are Michael Arnstein, Anne Osborne, Doug Graham etc..

The other extreme is a Lex Rooker - Zero Carb diet. Somehow we raw foodists tend to extremes. Is it the wish to live forever?

What motherfucking morons.

Here's a quote from from that poor fool's blog--

"6. What about all the Eskimos?

Are you an Eskimo?"

That's from the Q&A portion.

That pretty much tells you that his approach to life and diet is insincere and shallow.

I don't think we can fairly put Lex Rooker in the same category as Fruitarians. For one thing, Lex has only ever been interested in his health and  has, even then,  never aimed at perfection. Nor does he follow his all-meat diet in a bizarre attempt to avoid harm to any plants.

This should have been put in the Hot Topics forum. Done that now.

They remind me of monkeys a lot. Like really a lot, the way they eat.

How old are they? Do we know?

Also I enjoyed a raw rib eye while watching this. It only seemed appropriate.

ROFL. I was eating some raw fish, scallops, dulse, and cashews.

His blog says he was born in 1961.

I completely agree with what Tyler said here.

Pretty interesting video though. Kind of a depressing feel to be honest though.

Yeah. People can really be fools.

I like learning from fruitarians.
Learn which fruits are great.

I also like learning from vegans
Learn which veggies are great.

And I also like learning from carnivores.
Learn which animal foods are great.

Combine the best of all their research into our omnivore world.

Tyler, nobody puts Lex Rooker in the same category as Fruitarians.

But eating ONLY beef (!) is conceptionally very similar to eating exclusively fruits, particularly in the light of the well known fact that human beings can digest appropriate plant food as well as a WIDE variety of animal foods.

Agreed.  My knowledge of fruit is very useful to me, and I wouldn't have it without my time on the 80/10/10 diet.

Oh wow... that means he's a year younger than my dad... he looks WAY older than that.

Wow, these people seriously missed our website and forum.
If they had learned about raw paleo diets, they would have been happy and healthy.
It's the raw veganism religion that is killing them.

It is immensely nutritious and convenient raw animal foods that puts a stop to that "orthorexia" insanity.

Raw paleo diet should make life easy, simple and you have the best of health... or you are doing it wrong.

Yeah, he's only a few years older than me but looks nearly old enough to be my father! Holy cow!

I'm surprised we haven't gotten the usual "One example is just the exception to the rule" and "images can be PhotoShopped" nonsense on this one. I think the fact that quite a few examples of horrendously aged, sickly-looking and deranged fruitarians have been provided at this point may account for that. Thank heavens for that small blessing! At long last! Fruitarians are the most rapidly-aging people I've ever seen in my life, short of people with horrendous genetic defects. Three cheers for everyone in this thread (aside from the more excessive insults that might put off our deer, sweet Dorothy). Hip hip hoozah!  Hip hip hoozah!  Hip hip hoozah!

And Dorothy, if I went too far, I trust you'll set me back on the right path.  ;)

A minor side note: even monkeys have the sense to eat more animal/insect food than fruitarians. I have yet to find a single example of a "vegetarian," much less "vegan," animal in the wild. There's even a video of an herbivore eating the carcass of an animal. Whatever the reason, wild animals apparently don't hold to vegetarian, vegan or fruitarian dogmas. They are all inventions of Neolithic humans.

Just finished the movie. Talk about depressing. Both these people look extremely sick even taking the womans spine injury into consideration. The look in their eyes especially makes me shudder. No wonder they have to constantly remind themselves to be happy.

Also id like to know what up with this ian guy. Why isnt raw paleo working for him? Is this durianriders friend who he says died?
I feel really bad for him too. Just an overall depressing movie.

if this movie converted anyone to fruitarian I'd be really surprised. Seeing a bunch of concentration camp victims does not make me want to emulate their diet at all. Durianrider looks like he's about to keel over any minute but at least he does all that bike riding. This couple just looks like the face of death.

It's really sad.

They could so easily get a huge benefit for their health and lifes by just adding coconuts (which are botanically fruits) and some fish to their diet..
