^Nice post, I'll think about it.  It be great to have raw milk right there, and I'm sure the raw food idea would be alright there.

Personals / Re: Anyone in the Northeast US?
« on: March 22, 2012, 01:18:09 am »
Hey guys, I'm in CT, still new and haven't really jumped in past a couple raw meals.  I saw you guys talking about fresh vs frozen, and I obviously don't know the whole deal with it at this point, but I talked to the people at http://vermontgrassfedbeef.weebly.com/ (online shop at http://store.vermontgrassfedbeef.com/index.html), and they will ship never frozen to the northeast if you order it in advance.  They also seem to have really good prices compared to what I've seen, and have some things available that aren't on their site (suet, marrow bones, live, kidney, heart, tongue, maybe others).

I'm going to need to freeze stuff anyway since I don't have any other way to do it that'd be economically feasible (the only way that makes sense is to order in bulk), but I'm thinking it'd be nice to have the first few meals fresh, in addition to being able to sort everything out much easier and chop it up into usable portions.

Anyway, hope that didn't sound like an advertisement, I have NFI, but I just figured I'd share a possible good resource (again, I haven't ordered from them yet, just looked them up and emailed back and forth, but they seem good as far as I can see).

Do what you want, but you gotta believe there's missed benefits of eating frozen meat.  And wouldn't worry about meat going sour, because we know it's beneficial.

General Discussion / Re: what is adrenal fatigue/burnout?
« on: March 16, 2012, 08:06:33 am »
Dear Charlie.
Adrenal burnout is real.
I also think I know the answer how to heal.
But you gotta read it self cause only so you will truly find healing.
You got to really really want it, so much that you are willing to read through this blog (that is not the easiest reading but SO worth it!!!);

http://jackkruse.com/jacks-blog/

Raw alone will not heal you IMHO. But this will. You can do it raw if you like of course, or not. Raw is not the most important thing.

Follow the holy trinity. It will bring back all you wish for. :-*
I know it cause it is about to follow the laws of mother nature. Only this can really heal you.
This is NOT to eat Fruit in mid of the winter, to eat outside of the seasons.. to use artificial lights 24/7.. keeping cozy warm 24/7...

If you have Northern ancestors, and live in Hawaii, and also messing up it all for so long - you might need to do certain things to regain your health because of your genetics.
It is all in the blog. :) And it will cost you not a cent. Instead you will be saving money. ;)

From the blog - Jacks thoughts before going to speak at a Paleo-conference;

Jack is a Neurosurgeon with his own praxis. He is a real brain-hormone-expert believe me.

Inger

I doubt I would need to read all of this.  Can you summarize what is important and is an actual suggestion?  What foods does he suggest, what fat/protein/carb ratio, what's his view on sunlight, importance of others, exercise, medication, sleep, amount of food?

It's not real, it doesn't exist, it's a new illness like fibromyalgia was 5 years ago, it's a fashion. It's psychologically induced, it's a crutch for emotional/stress issues. The feelings and lab test show it's real but it's caused by the body/mind.

In 5 to 10 years we'll be saying 'remember adrenal fatigue?' it will of gone the same way as carpal tunnel syndrome/CFS/tennis elbow/peptic ulcers.

I bet my savings on it.

GREAT!  ....but what do you do to get rid of it?  How do you fix the body?  It's great that you proclaimed your genius, but why don't you actually prove it!

My worry is not gaining any fat to my body and being too cold and serious of a Personality.  I'm not sure how to achieve "vibrant" health on rpd.  My concern is that people I want to be like eat SAD.

Health / Advanced "high meat", antibiotics, and rebuilding
« on: March 04, 2012, 02:09:47 pm »
Since eating moldy, bacteria growing meat has positive effects with our mood ( highly prized effect) what further do we know/can explore to grow ourselves?  The obvious conclusion to me is that "do no harm" first is why many are better off as those who never took antibiotics or any drugs grew up normal, while those who did became depression, fatigue victims.   So is "high meat" really replacing and healing that ruined by antibiotics?  Anyone try anything even further down the road in regards to eating strange, maybe gross, but beneficial things?

I also struggle to get fat on rpd, it's depressing and frustrating to remain skinny when you eat correctly, tons, and just get skinnier!

General Discussion / Re: Raw Animal Foodist Retreats/Spas etc.
« on: February 28, 2012, 12:53:24 pm »
A raw paleo diet retreat is such a good idea, but there doesn't exist a good one in Hawaii!  From staying at body temple boot camp, it's not what it seems.  It could be a
a good experience if you are ready to work, but if you aren't fully healthy but looking to heal through diet, nature, and help of others who know something about it, this is not the place to go.  I'm just stating the facts, not angry, or trying to hurt anyone.  The male and female "dating couple" bicker a lot, are loud, blast tv every night, have a messy place, no landscaping, overgrowth, don't do much for activities beside swim in a chlorinated pool almost everyday, you listen to Steve give business consulting calls every morning ( there's no insulation anywhere, this is a very small property and you are very close to everyone), they are building and buying things and doing random projects that don't make sense and didn't notify me about any of this rem

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Re: What's the Beef with Raw Dairy?
« on: February 27, 2012, 01:28:13 pm »
I think aajonus is amazingly right about high meat, and I think his mistake is eggs and milk.  "high meat" has improved me, raw dairy  and eggs hasn't.  I think the only way to ever know is to live in the amazon for a year, then you'd know what promotes growth.

Health / Re: Weak Adrenals/Lyme?
« on: February 25, 2012, 12:52:56 pm »
Try high-meat, which is not eating tons of raw meat!  Let meat get sour and moldy, then eat it. It seems to work for some reason.

Primal Diet / Re: Is high meat more effective than probiotic supplements?
« on: February 21, 2012, 02:32:08 pm »
I wish it was called "eating moldy meat" and not "high meat" which just sounds like a strategy of eating tons of meat to fight depression. For a month I've been eating like a pound a day of meat and have gotten too lean and mean.

Good idea, bad name!

Yes I would like a consult with him.  It's just I go out in public and see vibrant, fat, ideal bodies and spirits who got that way eating carbs, that's when I try eating french fries or a sandwich, but it never really helps, if anything hurts

Primal Diet / Aajonus V recommending starch and French bread as optimal?
« on: February 15, 2012, 02:09:27 pm »
Reading "we want to live" by aajonus vonderplantz and by skimming go find his guidelines he says some cooked starch and bread is needed occasionally if you feel like it.  I'll believe anything with empirical evidence, has anyone tried this and had success?  Anyone feel mentally better trying this? Personally, I find it makes my body feel crappy, but the carbs may warm my mind up a bit and make me more friendly and likable, which I think is a problem being on rpd, however, on SAD, I developed this unfriendly situation.

I appreciate all the advices that are technical.  Things that involve food, sunshine, radiation poison, exercise, diet, healing time, super foods, plans of meeting/working together, are good.  However, from already trying this desperately, I HATE perception change advice, it doesn't do anything!  Psychology isn't real!

Hi Charlie
I feel sad for you. What happens from 12-3am? Can you get up and workout with out feeling sleepy? I think you would in part be crazed and depressed just from being chronically out of touch with a healthy sleep pattern. If your body is wide awake then get fun exercise then. Being outside and the cleaning up of mold/toxins are necessary if you haven't already addressed them.  It can take months to recover. Our house had black mold when we moved in and we didn't get rid of for 5 months. We all felt better once it was gone, but my daughter developed bad asthma and she still has a touch of it 4 years later. So, stick with all of those things. They might not cure you, but they are helping.
I wonder if it is a safety issue. Of course you crave human connection, but that can be loaded with problems that can be scary, not a violence issue, but a, "people aren't going to understand/like me issue". The other part is, "I'm never going to find people that I understand/like, so I'd rather spare myself the pain of disappointment". This can be a job I like, place I like, even restaurant, movie, etc.
I have felt like I didn't fit into this society at all and it felt exhausting to hold myself up and keep my eyes open. I felt like finding a dark cave or a comfy bed. Sound at all familiar?  realize that I don't fit into society and I think it's a zoo, that I need to escape from. So, I plan my little escapes often. Time to run and imagine things are just as I like them. I like to imagine my goddess friend. She understands and likes me and is a interesting, beautiful and powerful. I am actually connecting to the powerful and healthy part of myself, and developing an exciting friendship. The more I explore, like and accept myself the more I release barriers to be myself with others and enjoying my life. It isn't hard it is just different. Maybe you'd like to try your something like it.
When you are awake and alert unleash your energy by moving in a fun and free way, find an activity/exercise that feeds you and pumps up your soul and imagine a life you would enjoy, no matter how different from reality it is. If you don't have people to connect to or they aren't available when you have the capacity to connect make them up and make them exactly how you want them. This practice helps you connect to your true desires even if it is mainly in your imagination. Create a safe and fun experience. Do it often and improve it when you can. It's a good start. A base to move forward from. The beginning of a grand adventure. I hope this helps a little.
Hugs
Adora

^ I appreciate your empathy, but these are the kind of advices of the mind that I hate.  For along time I thought changing my mind was all I had to do.  What a waste of time and aggravating period that was!

These are surprisingly good responses.  I am moving to Hawaii tomorrow and just living in sunshine and sleeping and no electronics.  I'm going to try to not live under cellphone radiation too if possible.   Even so, I"m 23 years old, I shouldn't be having these problems.

Health / What if raw Paleo doesn't work?
« on: January 30, 2012, 10:36:59 am »
I'm a month into eating 95% raw meat, veggies and fruit and practicing and researching all the help on here, and self-experimenting, and still am not cured.  My problem is lack of excitment, enthusiasm, I feel half awake all day, except from midnight till 3 am I'm very hyper, I am narcaleptic - meaning that during the day I will feel the urge to workout, then when I train hard, my head and eyes become extremely tired suddenly I may peel over in public.  I always feel like doing something when I'm in bed, then when I get up to do something, I get extremely tired, and this cycle never ends.  Same socially - when I"m alone I want to be with people, when I'm with friends, I want to be alone. Anyway, I pretty much know everything about raw Paleo, so don't give me anything obvious, is there anything new out there?

Any tricks that people found for curing severe mental illness?

Hey I want to hear more about the turnover period from when you began feeling good again after being severly sick and in agonizing pain.  Was there a particular part about raw eating that you found most beneficial?  Me personally, For a month now, I do veggie and fruit juices, eat all raw foods, and eat raw pork, chicken, beef, lamb, salmon.  Haven't eaten raw organ parts yet.  Oh, and I cook beef fat and eat it.  I suffer from extreme fatigue and depression.

I've tried supplementing with Vitamin D, and it's good, but too much of it makes me fell too mellow, and calm, I begin not reacting to anything.

Haha, also in Burlington vt.  I'm looking to live somewhere though with no wireless internet and cellphone reception.

I'm pretty sure juicing raw vegetables and fruit is optimal.  And I'm eating raw meat whenever I can and will be on occasion forced to eat some cooked meat and vegetables to appear normal in society?  Did anyone here cure their depression?  That's what I'm looking for!

99
I'm new here, but I'm not new to Paleo, food, and it's legitimacy in solving our worst health problems.  To explain myself, right when I turned 20, I had been experimenting with some acid and ecstacy, and abusing some ritalin.  I did very little of these things, the hard drugs once or twice, and Ritalin only about 20 times.  I had been eating 100% SAD up till then.  At this time, like a brick wall, I started having trouble speaking well, having a respectable appearance, having a pleasant thought, acting like my personality to people I'd known my entire life was impossible, including my parents, literally not knowing if things in front of me were real or not, everything felt black, evil, negative, very painful, lost ability to play soccer in college, and couldn't write a paper, and among other worst things you could imagine.  Now I'm 23, and started regular Paleo a year ago, and have received numerous changes in my health that mask my mental illness, but hasn't really fixed the real problem.  Paleo keeps me going.  I am just now starting 95% raw paleo with meat, vegetable and fruit juicing.  I am hoping that being raw will cure me, because my previous Paleo was really nearly all cooked food.  Anyone cure their depression and how?
