magnetic are you going to try to only drink blood for a period of time? Because I think your results would be a lot more significant then mine since I have severe medical problems associated with GI.

the beef blood I get coagulates as well, btw

I have no clue! I've been wondering for a while which parts would be the nicest.

When I buy muscle meat I just get the cheapest x]

It's a shame insects like worms aren't more available for both chicken feed, and for humans. Worms seem like they'd be one of the best insects to eat - highly nutritious with little to no fiber.

Yes, PCB's are even more worrying then mercury since from what I've read they accumulate in your body and are not flushed out...

Still, I plan to occasionally eat clams and possibly other small fish. When I get rich of course I will eat alaskan salmon xD

he also sells alaskan salmon on his site
there's another thread about this http://www.rawpaleoforum.com/hot-topics/dr-mercola-says-to-eat-no-fish/

you could follow simple guides on fish with lowest contamination http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q=safe+fish&btnG=Google+Search

here's more info re negatives of fish:
http://www.environmentalhealthnews.org/ehs/newscience/mercury-negates-fish-oil-benefits-on-brain-development/
http://www.ewg.org/node/8147
you can find even more here http://www.ewg.org/search
http://www.economyincrisis.org/content/toxic-fish-expose-greater-concern-imported-foods-us

oh, also there was a video posted on this site where a town hunts whales for their food - the bigger the fish, the more contamination it builds up, so since that's their main food it would seem like they would be the best people to learn about negatives/positives of seafood from.

kimchi (raw, rejuvenative foods brand) used to be one of my favorites!!!  my gut doesn't like cultured veg, though.. actually cultured anything doesn't work for me despite how much they are hyped for ibs... kombucha, raw (homemade) yogurt, kefir (homemade), probiotics.. all that stuff just makes me so bloated.  i don't understand how this stuff works for people, it doesn't for me.
does high meat give you the same problems?

probiotic pills used to give me similar problems, but I was fine with yogurt, kefir, and high meat. And the last time I took probiotics I was fine with them too. Antibiotics that my doctor gave me may have changed the way my stomach reacts to probiotics(either that or high meat). I heard the symptoms are from the good bacteria fighting the bad ones.

The best option is to keep fat as much dehydrated as possible, in cold and dark environment.
When I let beef suet sit in a jar at room temp soaked in blood for a couple days it softens it and it seems to digest much better... soaking it in blood seems to have the same effect on it as warming it till it's quite soft. I get quite a noticeable and quick energy/strength boost. Do you think this is ok, or do you think I might be damaging the fat?

Anyone know how much blood is in an adult cow/bull??  I estimated that it was 6 gallons based on the weight of the animal versus humans.  I need to make sure I have enough buckets.
6 gallons of blood, haha sick ;D

@techydude 40mg to 120mg of calcium per liter actually isn't that much considering 1 liter = 4.2cups, and 1 cup of milk = 300mg calcium, and the daily intake of calcium that the government set is 1000mg. But yeah, I know the whole need lots of calcium thing is mostly bs.

Why?  Do you think this would be good indefinitely?  I want to know what happens and what you learn.
To update, the last two days I did this flush http://www.curemanual.com/detox-protocols-and-treatments/liver-gall-bladder-flush/hulda-clarks-liver-flush-method/ at the end it says to eat fruit or vegetables, but I just squeezed some freshly picked oranges instead in order to keep any fiber out of my digestive system. Then I drank blood later that day. Today the whole day I only drank milk with 1 raw egg dropped in each cup, and blood. But I was still feeling shitty, so just now I ate some of the suet I had sitting in a jar with blood and within a few minutes I started feeling much more energy and strength.
So it doesn't look like I'd be able to only drink milk/blood/eggs, much less blood alone.

I don't even know if I'm digesting the blood... because it makes my bowel movements really dark, like it's just going straight through...

san fransisco is the shit.

but I've always heard the opposite about circumcision & HIV in that the foreskin of an uncircumcised penis can tear/break open slightly, thus causing blood transfer.

I wonder why they make you download a program in order to see nutritional info...

Do you know if their program is accurate? Because this site for example http://nutritiondata.self.com seems to have numerous inaccuracies.

For example I was comparing lentils to sprouted lentils:
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2472/2
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/legumes-and-legume-products/4337/2

and a simple thing to point out would be that it lists the sprouted lentils' dietary fiber as 0%
but I've seen many other problems on this site with other foods

http://www.bodyecology.com/cveggies.php
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qjzlS0U4h0

after reading the book The Body Ecology Diet, I made some cultured vegetables. It seemed to be fine at first but now when I eat them my hands dry up quite a lot. Even certain fruits have the same drying effect on my hands now like oranges(picked fresh off my tree).

In the youtube video she says when you ferment them you increase the bio availability hundreds of times, which is what juicing does as well right? So for me it was a cheaper alternative to buying a $300+ juicer(which is what you need for vegetables), as well as another source of probiotics.

Has anyone else heard of/tried cultured vegetables?

Could those of you who have definitely obtained adrenal glands post some pictures? Because I'm having trouble obtaining them too. My beef butcher would get them for me but he doesn't know what they look like.

Wouldn't blood just gel?
gel? when I get beef blood some of it has thickened into a jello-like consistency(very difficult to get out of a bottle), then the rest of it that's liquid stays liquid both in the fridge and at room temp.

hmm, I'm not sure, I haven't heard about the Inuit preservative methods, I was actually curious about that myself since it seems like they would either be eating frozen meat/fat or cooked...

Usually if I leave my beef fat in a glass jar it stays the same forever(so far) as long as it doesn't go above room temp. However, I poured some beef blood into a jar with fat and it seemed like it ended up softening the fat...

General Discussion / Re: What brought you to a Raw Paleo Diet?
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:09:36 pm »
I have had major medical problems for 10+ years that have left me disabled. I saw a video of Aajonus Vonderplanitz eating raw meat on youtube and he looked very strong, so I got his book from my local library and now I'm eating whatever raw I can afford(mainly raw organs and raw fat for $1.50/lb each). I had some improvements in the beginning that went away. I'm pretty sure that the less fiber in my diet the more energy and stronger I feel(since less water and energy needed for digestion) so now I'm going to try only beef blood and raw cow's milk - maybe also some raw fat, brains, and occasional bits of glands and other raw meats.

When I first read this thread I mostly agreed, but now I see so many people on this forum acting like it's a regular keto forum or something... talking about eating cooked meat/fat products like it was just as healthy as raw...
