Title: cheesy butter

my butter smells a bit like cheese. Is this alright? What does this mean?

Butter is made from cream. Cream will go sour at some point. This is not a problem unless you don't like sour cream. Butter will also go sour.

Is the butter cultured.

I would say that it is OK. My neighbour grew up in Tibet and to them old butter ie 20 years old was a delicacy.

Cheesy butter smell is tough to get accustomed to, but it doesn't make it less healthy.

No doubt it's extremely high in vitamin K-2.
