Personals / anyone living in croatia?
« on: March 07, 2023, 06:23:40 am »
i’d like to connect with like-minded people from croatia, or even the neighboring countries. i’ve been experimenting with raw animal foods for 2-3 years now, but have yet to meet anyone doing something similiar. if you’re interested, do send me a message!

General Discussion / sus organic beef fat
« on: December 20, 2022, 05:47:11 am »
i started buying beef again from a certain store that states its beef is organic and “mostly grassfed”. before, i remember i could eat most of the raw fat and i would enjoy it quite a lot. now though, the taste is really offputting and the texture is just kind of wrong. is it possible that they are scamming their customers now? i remember frank tufano saying that grassfed fat tastes great while grainfed tastes bad, and it makes me think that this store isn’t very transparent anymore in regards to its meat quality. any thoughts?

General Discussion / Re: unheated honey

well, the honey is fully crystallized and i got it as such, though the producer could’ve just cooled it to a low temperature beforehand, and i do get some lightheaded feeling from it, though i’m not sure if it’s just the sugar rush, but one of my teeth started hurting yesterday every time i tried to eat it alone, so i think i’ll stop eating it, at least for a while. as i have understood it, aajonus said that unheated honey can’t destroy your teeth, so it might be a sign that the honey i got might have been heated and most enzymes destroyed

General Discussion / unheated honey
« on: December 09, 2022, 04:12:18 pm »
so i managed to find a source of unheated honey. the guy says they don’t filter it, mix it nor heat it, that the honey is untouched and just what the bees have made it to be. so, i am wondering now if there is a way to test it, since i hate blindly believing what most people say. so far it seems fine, the honey doesn’t disrupt my digestion if i don’t eat too much of it(one day i really ate too much lol and my digestion wasn’t as great as usually), as the conventional honey does, but i’m still not convinced. is there any way to test the honey in some way for signs that would indicate it was heated or processed?

General Discussion / Unchewable meats
« on: September 17, 2020, 12:28:39 am »
I have basically just started the raw paleo, and got my hands on some local farm beef. Unfortunately, one of the parts i got is simply unchewable; I cannot even bite through to put a smaller piece into my mouth. Should I just avoid these animal parts in general? I mean, if my teeth aren't designed to consume it, it doesn't make sense to me that I should then cut it up with a knife into bite sized pieces, but rather find the meats that I could naturaly consume without any tools. Can I get any thoughts about this?

General Discussion / No grassfed beef at where I live
« on: August 10, 2020, 05:14:23 pm »
So I just started the raw paleo last week. The only meat without gmo, hormones, etc. I could find was chicken so that's what I started with. Sadly, all other meats are of conventional animal farming and I feel kind of limited. I live in Croatia and grassfed doesn't seem to even be a thing here, people just aren't thinking about it. Should I avoid all beef since it isn't grassfed?
