Title: Coconut Oil with Fruit?
Post by: Max on February 02, 2012, 12:53:59 am
I know a lot of people here are worried about the insulin spike that comes with sugary fruit consumption.  (myself included)

Do you think it would be beneficial to eat a spoonful of coconut oil whenever you consume a serving of fruit?

Thoughts?  Experiences?

Coconut oil and sweet fruit don't digest well together, for some people.  I will usually have some raw fermented dairy or an avocado with sweet fruit, as well as some clay or bone meal.  The fats and minerals together seem to really help balance out the sweet fruit.

I do fine with fruit by itself, as long as I eat a lot of fat separately.
