I never realized that the wounded soldier in Airplane was actually the real Ethel Merman! Not to mention that she loved raw meat!

Tyler you amaze me.  I have no idea how you find these interesting tidbits burried in the mountains of drivel we call the Internet.    Half the time I can't get back to a page I was reading yesterday much less find an obscure mention that Ethel Merman liked raw meat.
