Now again a month later again they (health dept) are starting calling me for inspection, but I deny again. Now they ask me to do again the blood test of my son and also my daughter who is 8 months old.

Why deny them? And why not have your daughter tested?

I think peanut butter may make my lymph nodes swell... I'm not sure if this is an allergic reaction or a natural reaction to something that may not be healthy. I've heard there's toxic mold that grows on the peanuts before theyre processed.

How do you react to peanut butter? Is there any truth to the mold rumor?

Do not buy organic wines. They're full of sulphates.

Buy wine from New Zealand. They have the best pesticide standards.

Hot Topics / Almond butter

I've been buying almond butter almost once a month for the past 4 months and I'm wondering if I'm consuming too much. Are there any dangerous side effects from eating too much almond butter?

I get slight pains in the stomach after eating more than a tiny amount of nuts, no doubt due to being sensitive to the antinutrients in them.

Antinutrients?

Anyone else find it odd that one of the side effects of almost all anti-depressants is suicidal thoughts? That's something that has always set of a red flag to me. Maybe these medications dilute the fear the death, thus making these people more susceptible to either killing themselves or killing others. Who knows.

Most of my friends are taking zoloft and ativan, and they're all  in their early 20's, a naturally stressful time in most people's lives, including mine. I wish more people knew the importance of dealing with the source of their issues. Even doctors say that these drugs are not meant for life-long treatment, but how do they expect people to get off these things if all their issues come rushing to the surface the second they stop taking them? They also come with terrible physical and mental withdrawal symptoms. It's a total trap.

General Discussion / I have never eaten raw meat
« on: December 26, 2012, 02:18:47 am »
I'm sort of new to this lifestyle, and very new to the forum. I eat mostly raw veggies, but I cook my meats. I've never eaten raw meat in my life, unless smoked salmon counts. I just can't wrap my head around it - the texture and taste (or what I THINK to be the taste) of raw meat seems so... inedible. I've always thought eating raw meat would make me sick and kill me, and I always wash my hands thoroughly just after touching it.

How do you guys prepare your raw meats? What would you suggest to someone who is easing into it? Are there any kinds of meat that are unsafe to eat raw?

Any additional info will be much appreciated!

I LOVE avocados, but I can't eat them very often. If they're slightly under-ripe they do give me acid reflux.
