Great stories! Lots of fellow college students used to think I was pretty crazy for eating glass containers full of raw turkey meat in the hallway. But I've always been a kind of strange person to most others anyway so I'm used to it.
How is turkey? Texture and taste?

I have a humorous story about eating raw in public.  When I first went paleo I was still working.  For lunch I would often have a small salad with raw or very rare shredded meat in it.  One day one of the secrateries sat down at my table in the lunch room and when she saw what I was eating she said "Boy you sure like a lot of tomato in your salad!"  I just smiled and kept eating.

:D this story makes me smile..

i did see some raw ground up flax sprouts, I would suggest them over the seeds, I prefer to get my plant fats whole, fresh organic coconut is a favorite of mine, only 2$ a piece,  good deal! ;D

It sucks how brainwashed people are currently. In order to enjoy healthy food in public you have to get looked at like a monster.  :( Hopefully people will get smarter.

When buying sashimi, the tuna, the salmon and the mackerel are raw. There are occasionally other types of fish which are also raw, but things like prawns or octopus are always cooked. I avoid the salmon, personally, as it's always farmed.

*I highly recommend raw swordfish or raw shark. They taste great -
I'll keep that in mind.  ;) i did have some raw tuna, it was pretty good.

Make a journal section specifically for people to post pictures of fruits and or meats they have gathered or hunted themself.

I would say your 100% carnivore. I think wild berries (picked by oneself) are allowed for sure even if you ate some every day.

I still would call that person an omnivore. I read somthing about eskimos freezing berries. Pretty interesting.

Is their value to this? Next time I eat some eggs should I consume the shells too?

I'm afraid almost all fish eggs are prepasteurised, unless they specifically say so(only exception is cod roe).
???next time i'll just order slices of raw salmon to be safe.....

Bad Bad Bananas!

I've also heard that a lot of people have trouble digesting bananas, I know my brother can only eat green bananas.
I would never eat a green banana, oh well, I stopped eating bananas anyway, only eating hand picked vegetation and locally grown foods .

Happy birthday!!!

There are some items on sashimi plate that are not raw.  Octopus and crab are usually not raw.  If the octopus and crab looked like the ones in the picture below, they were not raw.  The crab meat in the picture is not even crab meat; it is fake crab meat (imitation crab meat, made of nasty stuff). Shrimp is not quite raw either. Squid is usually raw.

I hope all i ate was raw...oh well nothing i can do now

Happy birthday!
I have never tried raw crab.

Aren't crabs filter feeders?  I'm usually wary about the cleanliness of filter feeders like oysters and mussels.
maybe it wasn't crab, I'm not sure. there was alot of different meats. they were all raw!

I had it today for my birthday. I had about 6 different types of raw sea food! Six! Quite a variety for one meal I know. But the raw octopus and crab was the BEST!!!! Excellent texture!!!

My dream is to make a fresh kill and eat the organs on the spot like our paleo ancestors. It is also one way to finally get a brain.  ;D
That would be my dream too.

i don't hunt, but i would like to....i was thinking about finding birds eggs in spring time.....but that might be risky because birds may eat insects contaminated from sprays and lead in the soil

Yes, I thought you were eating both vegetables and meats at the same meal. However, since you eat these foods separately, you are unlikely to experience any side-effects of such regimen.
As regards habits of our anscestors your suggestion might be true.

Yuri
yeah i'll just eat my fruits or roots first since they digest quicker, i ate my meat first before, but i got your link and read it, it makes since to eat the fruits and veggies first so they don't wait on the slower digesting meat and start to age in my belly, thanks for the link!  :)

I used to make hot cocoa with it, adding sugar and coconut oil.

It is supposed to be an excellent source of magnesium, needed by most.
i'm sure there are much better sources of magnesium...
