Title: salmon and tuna
Post by: nicole on October 14, 2011, 04:53:58 am
Are wild caught salmon and fresh tuna steaks high in fat? I always hear that they are but i can't see any fat on them. What do you think?

They are higher in fat than many other wild fish species, but the absolute amount of fat is still veery low.

I think fat content for salmon is around 6-8 percent. I don't know what it is for tuna.

Some parts of the animal on tuna are fatty.  Salmon has most of the fat by the skin.
