Someone posted this link on another forum, so I thought I'd post it here. I'm not convinced re the anti-pufa claims but it's a theory much like any other and deserves to be placed here:-

It would not surprised me that the so-called essentiality of polyunsaturated fat has been pushed by vegetable oil manufacturers, with the help of some pseudo-scientists...
What I am sure is that I feel much better with animal fat than with olive oil or even coconut oil.
