Incredible. It seems that the Neanderthals discovere/invented all sorts of things 100s of thousands of years before humans.In the 1980s, Neanderthals were routinely portrayed as being low-browed apemen, and I was, at the time, deeply suspicious of claims of Neanderthal inferiority given their larger brains and similiar size(ie higher EQ ratio), and given that we already had plentiful evidence of their advanced Palaeolithic culture. I mean, there have been plenty of past advanced civilisations which have died out, not due to lower intelligence but due to plagues or whatever.....
