There have been a number of pseud Marxist "philosophers" who have tried desperately to debunk , without success, the point  that the Palaeolithic era  was a  savage era full of constant fighting, cannibalism and infanticide. The evidence is against them. The above article  shows that the practice of mass cannibalism continued right up to the advent of agriculture.
