Given the vast current overpopulation in the UK due to migration and the ever-rising number of old people as a large percentage thereof, councils are cutting back on drastic basic services such as bin-collection and instead trying to fund council-care, as re the above article. Needless to say, the UK councils deliberately pay very low, slave-wages to migrant workers to take care of such old people in order to cynically cut costs. Unsurprisingly, given the pathetic low wages the workers get, there have been a number of scandals in recent years where relatives, with the help of hidden cameras/gadgets, found out that their elderly (dementia-etc. ridden) relatives were being violently mistreated by the migrant care-home-staff.

. While UK RVAFers/RPDers don't need to worry much re a decrepit old age, non-RVAF/non-RPD acquaintances may face a rather uncertain future in old-age.
