Well, this does have a serious aspect as well since it's palaeoish in concept. I mean, our palaeo ancestors did not have sunscreen so were presumably tanned all the time whether they liked it or not. Though, I doubt they would have been fond of sunburn. In my own case, I have found that when I was very ill in pre-RPD days, I would get sunburnt very easily. After going rawpalaeo, I found that I increasingly did not get sunburnt per se, when spending a lot of time in the sun. That is, I would not feel any pain, and my skin would go reddish. My skin would not flake off as visibly as in pre-PD days, and I got the impression that, likely, our Palaeo ancestors simply adapted quite easily to their local environment, and their bodies simply regenerated their skin at a fast rate in response to the sun - plus, unlike us moderns,  palaeo peoples did not presumably migrate regularly to environments that their skin wasn't well-adapted to.
