What I always  found striking about rich people, well particularly the nouveau-riches, was  the cold but wholly fake arrogance such people usually showed to all and sundry. Yet, money is just a figment of the imagination, not even being just intrinsically worthless pieces of paper in the electronic age. So most such people based themselves on a false, worthless set of values.
