Title: dental amalgams

are they worth getting removed?

I had mine removed last year mostly because they were beginning to crack and leak around the margins which encourages decay under the filling.  Mine were all 35 to 40 years old.  If they were relatively new I probably wouldn't have bothered.  I will say that I had 9 fillings replaced and all were done without Novocain or any other sedative.

I had mercury fillings replaced with ceramic ones. I experienced no benefits therefrom.
