BS of course. 9 days on a high fat diet is not enough to adapt to such a dramatical change!
I like especially the conclusion :"We already know that to protect our heart health in the long-term, we should cut down on foods high in saturated fat"

I admit that they shouldn't mention the saturated fat issue. But it interesting as it points out the deleterious effects of high (cooked ) fat in the short-term. Can't wait for a longer study.

I went straight from low fat vegan to extremely high fat RAF. My cognition went up quickly after I changed to the "new" diet.

Also - they're fucking rats. What is the effect on polar bears cognition if you feed them peanut butter sandwiches?

Haha. I suggest feed the p butter sandwiches with a slingshot through steel bars of a strong cage.
The original study that "proved" that fat is bad did not use fat. It used cooking oil. The liars that did that must have believed that lipids are lipids, who knows if this study did the same? Also it takes more than 9 days for us to convert from carb fuel bodies to fat fuel bodies.
Junk science again, TD. Suggest more skeptical reading.

The result may have been not so different with raw fat. It takes more than a few days to adapt to a high fat diet !

You're going to have to wait, because that study has never and will never be done by a mainstream institution. When have mainstream institutions ever done long term diet studies? Long term as in years? I'm not sure about this but I'm leaning towards never, as I've never seen or heard of any. It's not economically feasible the way Universities are structured with grants and publishing interests.

You'd think so, but there are studies done on some unusual diets(I'm thinking of 1 on 7th day adventists which lasted 12 years) which go on for ages. Granted, it is physically impossible to 100% scrutinise such diets(which is probably why they target communities like the 7th day adventists as they're more sure to stick to their diet), but they're still useful.

What I'm talking about is taking a group of people all from different diet backgrounds, some with diseases and conditions, some healthy, some on prescriptions drugs, all ages etc and put these different people on a rather strict diet, one of the diets that is touted as healthy, for at least a few years and see what happens. It's surprising how this would probably be one of the most beneficial studies for human health and well being that could be done, and would not cost anymore than the cost of food which people have to eat anyway, yet it will never be done.

The trouble is that taking people from widely different backgrounds/medical conditions would skew the results so badly that no one could draw any worthwhile conclusions from them. I mean everyone who is in ill-health will have widely different allergies and medical conditions(being unable to tolerate fats or carbohydrates or whatever) such that the vast majority would get widely different results.

Well I suppose you would break down people into groups, you could group them by ethnic background, age, common disease symptoms, etc. But you need your study to be long term and have a wide swath of people.
