Title: On a deserted island

If you had to live on a deserted island and only bring only one type of food, what would it be?

That's a silly question given that the main point behind practising a palaeolithic diet is to include a wide variety of foods(not just different food groups but also different kinds of meats etc.) Well, if I chose raw fatty meat only, I would end up a hospital case in c.6-8 weeks. If I chose some raw fruit or raw vegetable, I would end up suffering from my anxiety attacks again after several months and would have multiple nutritional deficiencies. Perhaps I'd settle for some particularly fatty fish. No, the only food I could handle , if stranded on a desert island, would be the whole carcasses of some large herbivore, with predigested plant-matter in its stomach.

cool, but the will not last you very long and you will probably have no fridge there :).
The ideea is to find out what food do you consider to be the most essential.
I think I would bring some honey.

LOL@honey. What are you going to do when your jar of honey runs out? Nothing wrong with eating rotten meat to some of the posters on this forum.

Fatty tuna, maybe, if I couldn't have a whole animal with organs.
