Wow! I've just finished watching that in it's entirety. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for posting the link majormark.
Obviously, many of us here won't agree with everything he discussed (particularly the vlc/zc's among us) but, in essence, I thought his message was superb and his dissection of the biochemical pathways very very interesting. Lex was right about fructose!
I need now to reflect on the information presented here, perhaps watch it again, and compare it with some of the other data and information out there such as the by Dr Rosedale.
What are other's thoughts after watching that video?

I'm going to watch it, but it's gonna take me a few intermissions :)... it's 90 minutes.... 8 minutes in and I've already heard this guy say "okay" like a million times, lol, and I need a break already....
Anyone care to give a summary in the meantime :D

Here's an interesting snippet:
1:15:15 "Anybody ever heard of the Paleolithic diet? ... Go home and read up on it on the Internet. .... Basically if you eat everything as it came out of the ground raw (with no cooking) ... you would cure [type 2] diabetes on a dime ... it takes about a week."
He not only said "raw," he emphasized it by saying "no cooking." I would be surprised if he actually advocates a raw diet, but that's an interesting admission. He also talked about AGE's.
He says a lot of the same stuff that Taubes does (such as carbs being the main problem), but with some bits like the above (whereas I believe Taubes nearly ignores both Paleo and raw, despite voluminous writings), and he doesn't push cooked meats (in this presentation anyway), so that even Tyler might not mind it (other than all the "OK?"s).
I do have some qualms, but I wanted to start out positive, with what I agree on.

I dont understand where did he get the idea that "fiber is good" and government wants to get read of it. Everyone has their own conspiracy theory I suppose.
Overall it's solid info on the effects of sugar in humans.
