Title: Couple of recent studies re artificial supplements/hormones

Here's mention of a recent study linking the Pill to lower female sex-drive:-

Here's a Telegraph article damning the intake of  artificial antioxidant supplements:-

I personally suspect that the main reason for why fruits and vegetables are cited as being more healthy in studies is that people are far more likely to eat them raw than to eat raw animal foods. At any rate, the above study mentioned shows that such forms of processing are a bad idea and that nutrients need to be in the right natural balance like  raw foods have.

Nice example of the confusion brought about by a simple reductionnist approach of science. In complex systems any emerging property cannot be reduced to or inferred from the properties of a single or even a few component(s) of the system. In a living organism for instance health or illness are precisely such emerging phenomena.
