Title: Kidneys Hurt?
Post by: kurite on May 15, 2010, 06:58:10 am
Hi,
Yesterday my right kidney hurt and today both of them hurt. Its a pretty sharp pain. Is this just a detox symptom? I remember raw vegans complaining of this but I havnt read of raw paleos having this problem.

Sure it's your kidneys, not the muscles in your lower back? the QL muscles that cover the kidneys can feel a bit weird.

I would drastically lower protein intake, increase fat.
Or stop protein intake.
Or fast.

Do my kidney cleanse with avocado leaves tea.

Could happen to vegans if they eat seeds or nuts which are low in fat.
Mung beans are popular and the worst culprits.
Also vegans may be eating vegetables which are not meant for human consumption -- those with anti-nutrients.
