Title: Do you feel any anxiety at all while on the raw paleo diet?

Anxiety has been a problem of mine for years. Aparently this diet helps. What do you all think?

I used to have some anxiety problems pre-RPD. They've all disappeared for me eating this way. :)

When people talk about 'anxiety problems', are they talking about isolated anxiety, or anxiety with particular causes? The idea of isolated anxiety seems incomprehensible to me, unless it is simply that the person has accepted themselves as they are although they are not happy with who they are, so are not able to attribute causes for their anxiety. Since they are just fat, and that is just them in their mind rather than a state, so they can not attribute their anxiety to this, as in their eyes it is just unchangeable fact.
E.g. A guy is frail and he feels anxious when he walks in to a room of people because he is concerned about what they are thinking of him. This guy thinks he has anxiety problems. This is because, although he feels uncomfortable/anxious about it, his mind is not able to comprehend that there is actually something 'wrong' with being frail as he is. He thinks he is just frail, and that's it. There is no cause, no remedy, that's who he is. If he did not think that way, maybe he would not be frail. So, he looks to cure his anxiety, though he does not see the anxiety's cause.
I hear people talking about 'anxiety issues' a lot. If people are referring to anxiety from specific problems, why don't they state the problem as opposed to their anxiety related to that problem? It would make much more sense would it not?

Generalized anxiety without a specific cause is actually a disorder. Many people suffer from this and from what I know, a huge part of it is brought on by cumulative stress over the years that has not been appropriately dealt with. This free floating anxiety can be very hard to deal with for many people such as myself. Before this year I had no clue as to what to do with it and didn't even realize it was going on. I just knew I felt bad.

wow, that is upsettingly ignorant. 99% of people when they say anxiety they are speaking of an often intense physical manifestation of symptoms displaced from any immediately known origin which is the flip-side of depression, which also often is not at all to do with one's day to day life although can indeed be worsened by such. Plenty of attractive successful people suffer form crippling anxiety and depression. Drugs like Ativan and Klonopin are extremely popular among the elite. Even if someone knows that its sourced somewhere in their childhood or similar issue with their psychology, alot of each is caused by physical factors that can be improved with diet and lifestyle changes. nervousness over day to day work issues or self esteem problems is completely different and not a medical condition, although those also might be improved with diet and lifestyle to increase overall health.

It's not ignorance if I ask, it's just not knowing. Ignorance would be if I told you what it was(and was wrong), and did not listen to what you said. Do not call someone ignorant when they are asking a question, that is stupid.
To be ignorant, is to ignore. Until this point there has been nothing for me to ignore. If I am asking the question upon my first time of thinking about it, I am certainly not ignoring the issue. Use your brain before throwing insults...
However, thank you for your explanation...

ignorant does not mean to ignore, someone that lives in ignorance and speaks about things they don't know about that are inappropriate or wrong, that is the definition of ignorant. not only is the above ignorant, its downright insulting to people that have had anxiety issues, belittling them and attempting to make sense of them without any understanding. Racism and prejudice over illnesses in public context are classic forms of ignorance, and statements like the above could get one fired from a workplace. Someone asking why can't a Asian drive better or why can't a person with MS just pick them self up by the bootstraps are ignorant with any degree of openness towards being wrong about those questions. Asking a question like "what is the difference between anxiety and social awkwardness" is completely different than above.

anx·i·e·ty (ng-z-t) n. pl. anx·i·e·ties 1. a. A state of uneasiness and apprehension, as about future uncertainties. b. A cause of anxiety: For some people, air travel is a real anxiety. 2. Psychiatry A state of apprehension, uncertainty, and fear resulting from the anticipation of a realistic or fantasized threatening event or situation, often impairing physical and psychological functioning. 3. Eager, often agitated desire: my anxiety to make a good impression. [Latin nxiets, from nxius, anxious; see anxious.]
... That is anxiety... if someone feels anxiety, they're anxious, or apprehensive... This is 'a', indeed 'the main' meaning of anxiety. What I said in my post, related to this, the 'common' definition of anxiety.
I was not sure if the 'anxiety' people talked about here was this kind of anxiety, as they seemed to talk about it on its' own. Therefore, I asked what people mean when they talk about anxiety, whilst at the same time, stating what my usual understanding of the term 'anxiety' was, so that you could tell me how this was different, or the same.

What i mean is anxiety in social situations. To answer my question, do you feel that type of anxiety when on the raw paleo diet?

I think most people would say that due to their improved health(which shows outwardly), they feel more confident in themselves and therefore are less anxious. If you're a man for example, and your bone-structure, muscle definition, posture and energy improved(which many people talk about here) people would soon start noticing it and as their attitudes towards you change, you would start to get used to it and your cause for anxiety would gradually diminish.
My social-anxiety is much less, due to health problems overcome. However, perhaps partly because until recently I consumed mostly grain-finished beef(or maybe just due to the relatively short time I've spent, or a combination of both factors), I still retain some signs of poor health. So I still get anxious to some degree. Any anxieties I have, I can attribute to causes.
