Post by: MoonStalkeR on July 22, 2010, 11:17:45 am
What condiments come to mind that you would think are raw and safe for a weak/sensitive digestive system?

Condiments for transition only: sea salt, freshly ground pepper.

No condiments is best.

Umm..

"..mild spices including basil, cardamom, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, fennel, fenugreek, fresh ginger and turmeric. Rajasic spices like black pepper, red pepper and garlic are normally excluded, but are sometimes used in small amounts to keep the channels open "

thats what the ancient practise of ayurveda says (which isnt so ancient compared to our genuinely ancient diets)

Ps. I got that from typing 'Sattvic Diets' into google, but you can pretend I'm a really clever and well read ayurvedic practioner instead if you want, which of course i am.

Sea salt is required for me to avoid dehydration at this point. The need for other spices is that they stimulate appetite, which is important during weak digestion.

Thanks for suggestions everyone. Ayurveda classifies it well.
