Depends on the situation. It's almost always room temperature for me but if it's a very hot day a nice glass of cold water is very refreshing. :)

Warm or hot water. Soothing and calming, easy on stomach. Cold water only at gym.

When you are eating meat you definitely want it on the warmer side so that the saturated fats don't become solid inside of your stomach.

Room temp water or cold water?
prefer room temp H2O. people with good health generally like room temperature.

also love the ionized water which i prefer warmed by sun.

don't mind to drink some well water from my back home which is generally cool as ice (in a tropical place) from clay pitcher. this is the best drink I ever  had in my life. :D

Your environment will choose what temperature water will be in natural circumstances in the wild.

There are hot springs in some places, maybe not drinkable. Lakes stay relatively cool even in summer here.

Cold water takes energy to make it to body temp. Perhaps using the energy to make it warm, helps keep are bodies warm in cold climates.

What did the Eskimos do? Eat snow in winter?

I like room temp. water. Ever since I read one time the body has to convert the cold water into a warmer temperature I always drank it room temp.

Now it's just habit and cold water doesn't feel good

we have receptors in our throats that reacts to the temperature of water. It is now hypothesized that it is a way to know the freshness of water. Cold is supposed to be more refreshing to us for this reason. I love fridge cold water, but if it gets too cold it looses its taste and I dont like that.

I prefer to drink water as cold as possible so often leave mineral water bottles in the fridge or freezer for a time. After all, in the wild, I often come across ice-cold water from mountain-streams etc.
