Post by: STZGluten Free on October 16, 2010, 09:50:07 am
Could there be any harm in a person with Celiac Disease eating raw meat?

No. Meat from animals fed on a gluten-heavy diet might effect a person sensitive to gluten, but I'm not sure.

If you're highly gluten-sensitive just stick to grass-fed meat, wild fish, or game meat and that should be gluten free.
Also eggs from pastured chickens will be ok, but most chickens are fed grains so I think a little gluten can leak into the eggs.

I don't think there should be a problem.
My kids and I have bad reactions to flour but do well on raw meat.

Maybe you should ask your health professional.  I know raw meat gives the nutrional to heal the gut without antinutrients.  I don't know how bad your gut is though.  Maybe you should start on raw eggs.  It should digest faster and have important immune factors.

I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and found that raw pastured meats and fats seem to be the most beneficial foods of all for me so far, healthwise.
