Title: Eating Intestine and Stomach
Post by: Techydude on February 02, 2011, 03:39:14 pm
Any concerns about this? Like whether or not you should clean it out prior to consumption, checking for worms, food/digestive/fecal matter, any health concerns?

There's no reason what so ever why you should eat the intestine or stomach.

Carries the highest risk of parasite infection.. tough to digest... and definitely not the most nutritious part of the kill.

I ate a big portion of tripe (stomach) recently.  It is very tough.  I seem to digest it anyway, so far.  I was thinking as I ate it that with how tough it is; it could have a lot of collagen protein in it.

I ate some of the "dirty" (or unbleached as none of the tripe had gotten as far as being bleached) lining with it, but none of the decaying pieces of grass.
