Title: Introduce Yourself!
Post by: zeno on May 14, 2011, 06:32:07 am
Introduce aspects about your life besides your diet!
What are your hobbies? What do you do for a profession? What are your aspirations?
We can't all just be eating meat all day long (even though I know some wish we could). ;D

I work in a bookstore. I attend weekly community mental health meetings. I volunteer for a community garden where most of the other volunteers are vegans. But I am going to build a chicken coop and raise chickens and eggs.
I like bonfires, had two this week. I also like to dance.
I am currently reading Man, Economy and State by Rothbard.
I am a biphasic sleeper. I think I have been my entire life, and just recently have I realized how much monophasic sleep screws things up.
I like to bike.
Okay, enough about me.

Cool.
I am semi-retired. I am an Ayurvedic Practitioner, but do it as a hobby. Alternative medical modalities are my specialty. I am so healthy it would make you sick. : )
I feel for people who haven't figured out how to fix themselves. But hey, this world is but a big puzzle. If you concentrate on your problem, with an eye to solutions, you will, I repeat -Will- figure it out.
This site is an excellent spot for that!!!!
I am looking into eco living ie strawbale/rammed earth housing, humanure, ( ourecovillage.com) alternative electrical sources (off grid), carbon neutral, sustainable, call it whatever you will....
I don't believe that you have to suffer to enjoy life. It should be fun and us humans can figure out how to make it so.
I see that living very simply, as say a "Jesus" type with minimal skills and fun ie. raising animals in a friendly community, as the way to go. People will create an alternate reality that we can all enjoy.
I tend to see the future and go for the possibilities, which makes me a fringe person, but I enjoy that. My friends run the gamut from regular guys to wierdos ; ) I have a small group of intense friends that I love and a woman who is my soulmate in every sense of the word.
Meditation is my main squeeze. Enlightenment is my only goal.

I once read an article about a man who experimented with biphasic sleeping. He said he enjoyed it but since hardly anyone practices biphasic sleeping it severely affected his social life.
Would you recommend biphasic sleeping to others?

Currently, I am a person without a purpose. I don't really know what I want to do with my life. Hopefully I will get an idea when I go back to school. I have an interest in helping people improve their health, but I don't know if people will listen or if I can be successful at it. :( I wish I actually had some kind of talent...
This song should explain how I often feel. It's like he is commentating on my life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c87TKWgRyCE

I've cured myself of all my past health complaints. So I'm ready and raring for a new focus on business. Currently looking for business that's portable and won't tie me down to a specific local location. Internet marketing comes to mind. And related fields.

I am young. I am not wise. With patience I gain wisdom daily. I need to work on my willpower in all areas of life. I sometimes feel that I am being pulled in a million different directions. I feel that I am person with secret dreams, someday I'd like to tell people and not be laughed at.
Here, I am searching for health and a life free of physical pain.

Diggin' the polyphasic sleeping. Big fan of it and have experimented with various systems.
