Doctors in Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital in Nanjing removed a 23-centimeter-long parasitic worm from the brain of a young woman a week ago, ending her six-month ordeal of tingling seizures, the local Yangtze Evening News reported today.

Really? I thought TylerDurden said the pork hysteria was myth but lets see what he has to say. This is worrying.

Sounds dodgy to me, besides there are always all sorts of info left out of such media stories, which explain the real reason. For example, most food poisoning scandals re raw foods involve sickly, old aged people or sickly children etc.

try eating some raw commercial pork nothing dodgy about it you will get something.

I did in the past, in the first 3 years of going rawpalaeo, sometimes in quantity. I did not suffer therefrom at all. Though, I will grant that raw wild game was far more useful re recovery.

One more vote for pork, I'll eat it pastured whenever available, but never cafo!

You can get worms from things other than food like walking barefoot. Why is everyone on here so obsessed with parasites?! LOL

They fear parasites because they do not know how to:
- get rid of them
- deworm themselves
Arm yourselves and stop the fear. This is the 21st century.
We may be paleo dieters, but it doesn't mean we are primitive in tools and technology.

Worms / parasites migrating to "other" parts of the body are explained by the late Hulda Clark to be caused by people's ingestion or application on the skin of various chemicals.
She explains that parasites are a normal part of life.
What is abnormal is the migration to parts they aren't supposed to migrate to.
As for brain tapeworms in other animals, I'm not privy to an opinion that animals who eat pork to do not get brain tapeworms.

I was afraid at first. It took me months, rather years to try even pastured pork. I've eaten commercial a couple times too now. I ate pastured tonight that sat out on a plate most of the day. Since before the first time I tried raw pork, I feel healthiest when I eat it and for a long time thereafter.
