Title: Poison Carbohydrates Causing Hypoglycemic Crashes?
Post by: goodsamaritan on August 11, 2011, 12:29:57 am
Let's collaborate and identify foods that cause hypoglycemic crashes.

The other night I experienced a hypoglycemic crash just after tasting some "Champion Raisins" (10 pieces?)

I drank a raw duck egg to try and counteract the crash with some fat... but it didn't quite do the trick...

I  then found some left over raw ripe jack fruit in the refrigerator and that quenched the crash for good.

Seems like jack fruit is good carbs and raisins were bad carbs.

Other times, I get really good wild honey, it is just fantastic, full of minerals, metabolism enhancing, healing.

And bad honey which is just poison carbs causing hypoglycemic crashes.

--------------

Maybe you could share your thoughts and experiences.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a hypoglycemic crash, but some carb-rich foods throw me out of whack by causing bloating, aching joints and water retention. Major offenders are potatoes, bananas, oranges. Weight-wise, it can mean a gain of 5-8 pounds of water, which I then pee out by the next day.

I have not had good experiences with any fruits/carb sources, I have to keep loading up all day. But I am probably more sensitive than most people.

Try eating this fruit if you are carb sensitive:

just eat a quarter of this raw fruit with skin and seeds a day and probably in 2 or 3 days you can eat a sane amount of carbs.

I'd also look at the kind and quality of the fruit you are getting.

how does your body tell you the difference between good honey and bad honey??

for some reason if a honey is truly raw, i digest it just fine.  if it's been heated (no matter what the label says) i will get sick from it pretty quickly.

but, i assume no matter raw or not, it's still causing sugar spike and crash?  even raw protein can do that, why wouldn't honey??

The medicinal honey don't cause crashes, it just boosts metabolism so it helps cure coughs, colds and fevers.

raw wild honey is different from one another from different parts of the country from different terrains

I've had:

brown
orange
bright yellow
super dark brown
red
green

They all taste different and have different effects

What I do is I taste each and everyone and see the effect on me.

Then I classify some as medicinal and keep those.
Some for honey lemon juice.

The not so good ones the rest of the family uses for cooking.
