Title: Fermented plant foods
Post by: LePatron7 on December 08, 2012, 05:07:59 am
Hey everyone. I was wondering if there could be a sticky thread on fermented plant foods.

I've looked into making homemade dill pickles, sauerkraut, and cortido.

I think it's great to get a variety of bacteria from raw animal foods, high meat, and fermented plant foods.

What do you guys think?

Why not a Raw Fermented Foods sticky instead of just fermented plant foods?

It's a good idea. By all means start a thread(put it in the culinary creations forum) and I'll sticky it so that it's next to the "high-meat" thread. You can always post more stuff later which I can copy and paste into the 1st post of the thread.

:) And I also meant that by making it fermented foods instead of fermented plant foods that it could include fermented animal foods like high meat, stinkfish and raw fermented honey instead of just plant foods. Or the high meat thread title could be expanded to something like "high meat and other fermented animal foods".

I didn't notice it before, but I'm not sure why the high meat and fermented raw plant food threads were put in the Display Your Culinary Creations thread, despite the initial posts containing no images. They seem more like instruction/info topics for either the General Discussion or Newbie child board areas. I wouldn't think to look in the image gallery for info on fermented foods other than images and maybe videos.
