Ok, here's a new gimmick, just ask a question that the next responder/player has to answer, and obviously answer the question placed before.
So, here goes:-
Have you ever known reasonably well a dead or nearly extinct language(ie could read/speak/understand the basics)? (eg Latin, Ancient Greek, Sanskrit, Ancient Egyptian Irish gaelic, Gallo, etc.)

In high school, four years of Latin was required. Half a century later, I find I can still understand the language. A friend of mine is a Latin teacher, and he speaks fluent Latin, whenever I need to practice.
My question is posed to a well-traveled person. Where in the world have you traveled?

I know lots of Latin, and I speak doctor-ease pretty fluently because of it. Not fluent though. It really helped my foundation understanding medicine. It is profoundly beautiful IMO.

Fiji, USA (Hawaii and road trip LA to NY), England, Scotland, Ireland, Holland, Germany, France, Monaco, Italy, Greece, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Antarctica, Australia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Shetland Island, Austria, Turkey, Rarotonga, Tonga, & Vanuatu.

I honestly don't have ONE alone :( I have way too many hobbies and some of my favorites are : Knitting, sewing, drawing comic books, Medieval Reenactment, sightseeing , and my hair care forum/ blog/ website/ YT....couldn't chose one over the other.

Definitely not in a nursing home. Perhaps still being able to walk for long distances without a cane and able to swim and ski, albeit slower. I have seen other older people not being able to read or do anything due to alzheimers and the like, and couldn't face ending up like that. Suicide to prevent this result would not be an option as I don't seem psychologically capable of that.
Then again, if the technological Singularity ever happens in my lifetime(if only!) I might live forever, remaining young and healthy! ;)
