Title: Hello
Post by: ant on January 25, 2013, 05:14:39 pm
Greetings!

I'm a teenager boy who is very interested in health and fitness. I'm into sports but I think for optimal performance I need to change my diet. So for now I have decided to quit exercises but instead I'll just walk for long distances and until I feel real good I am going to go back there. I want to try to have a transition for a month or two with this diet. First paleo then raw veg fruit cook meat paleo then all raw. I am also experiencing stress and have a weak immunity - colds as an indicator. I want to feel good and relieve all muscle pain , stress , tiredness and colds by making this step. I haven't started yet but I'm going to try to go paleo. I need some tips esp. eating raw meats and vegetables since I have not tried eating raw  meats yet since my parents or other people says it's bad and on the raw veggies , it's too bitter and idk if that's good or bad! In eggs , is normal eggs consumed raw good too or should you go free range or pastured?Atm I'm eating locally and paleo but cooked mostly. Thanks!

Here are various threads on how to start a rawpalaeodiet, where to buy rawpalaeo foods, what foods to eat, how cooking destroys nutrients etc:-

Most rawpalaeos avoid eating raw vegetables because they don't taste good. The ones that taste the worst are also the ones with the highest levels of antinutrients, a sign that they should not be eaten.Nothing to worry about re raw meats/bacteria etc., just a case of media-driven hysteria against raw, healthy foods.

You should go for pastured/free range eggs. With meats, go for grass fed (beef, bison, lamb, goat, etc.). And fish go wild caught.

Here's info for why it should be grass fed, pastured, etc. - http://www.eatwild.com/foodsafety.html (http://www.eatwild.com/foodsafety.html)
