my mom has so much... mostly french though, but also finnish, irish, etc.

Ancestry? Well, mine's a bit complicated:- Slovenian(25%), the rest consisting mostly of Celtic blood(ie mostly Irish("The Wild Geese"), but also a little Welsh, Scottish and Breton), a litle Austrian and Czech, with Norman knights, Vikings and quite a number of barons, counts and dukes sprinkled here and there with the odd unfortunate Australian convict-women etc. - my maternal grandmother was a Countess(title could only be passed to offspring of males, not offspring of females).
I have just 2 famous/notorious ancestors. I'm the great-great-great-whatever grand-nephew of the English composer Henry Purcell, and I'm also a direct descendent of Gilles de Rais, who is (allegedly) the most prolific serial-killer of all time(though, fortunately, there seems to be some concerns re this claim as it was common for people to falsely accuse others of practising witchcraft etc. in those days).

Irish here too. I'm a part of the Fitzgerald clan who supposedly were knights that came over with William the Conqueror! That's about as exciting as it gets though I'm afraid.

I'm amazed at the details some of you know! All I know is that I'm a typical American mutt of English, Swedish, and German descent.

I have Malay ancestors. (like the malaysian stock)
I have Aeta ancestors. (small dark skinned, curly hair mountain people)
I have Chinese ancestors.
I have Cuban ancestors.
I have Spanish ancestors.
These are the immediate ones I can trace back to my great grand parents.
