Thanks, very interesting. It plainly confirms what we inferred from our preference for gamy and aged meat.

How about fungus?
I'm of the persuasion that fungus can be bad / deadly for humans.
Say stored nuts or other old fungus laden food / meat?

Hyenas will scavenge food... but it is still quite fresh, not aged yet?

Aged is good if there is no fungus overgrowth which we do using various techniques we do today.

Blue cheese is moldy. Mushrooms are fungi.

I think my blue cheese and raw cheese experiments are one of the causes of my latest fungus challenge.  So I'm on a fungus avoidance thing.  Stored nuts / raw nuts as well unless they are fresh raw nuts.
