Title: Fueling your workout
Post by: political atheist on August 23, 2017, 11:51:32 pm
What to eat/drink during extremely intense(sprinting, jumping, throwing, weight lifting), 2- 3 hour long workouts to sustain energy, power, focus?

Anybody tried Aajonus's Sports/Hydration Formula?

Hi there, I have not heard about Aajonus's Sports/Hydration Formula. My sister is following a diet guide from Cellublue which provides the best guidance what to eat and drink. She has included workout in her daily routine and eating a balanced diet with protein drinks. I think you can also check for it.

I haven't found that I need to eat anything unusual. I personally don't drink water, and instead drink raw milk. I found that after intense workouts I am a bit thirstier than usual, so I will drink a cup of milk.

I drink water during my workouts, then have some kefir waiting for me in the car once I am finished to fully quench my thirst. I try to limit my water consumption as much as possible.

If you replaced water with raw milk, how much do you drink per day on average? And beside the workout, do you drink the milk with foods or in between?

I don't recommend eating nor drinking anything.
Exercise is a sympathetic physiological state and digestion is parasympathetic. You are not going to digest anything and probably stress the body more. What I would recommend is a good postworkout meal and then a good nap.

if you take a look at decathletes, during competition, between jumps/throws and between events, they would snack on dried fruits, nuts/seeds, cereal bars, even sandwiches, fruits....
