Title: Tapeworms
Post by: smokeyquartz on October 05, 2020, 07:44:12 pm
Can someone provide Aajonus's logic on why having tapeworms is a good thing? I understand he believed a lot of bacteria, viruses, and parasite s are beneficial because they help cleanse the body, but I can't get my head around tapeworms or worms that potentially migrate to the brain. I will be buying his book when I have the money. Thanks.

I think he had a lot of toxins at that point and wanted it to eat them up quickly.

I've heard this idea of parasites migrating to the brain but I'm not so sure about how common that really is or how one would know that they did, or why they would go to the brain.  Sounds like fear mongering to me but I haven't looked into it.

I don't think there is a reason for parasites to be in a healthy person.  I think they inhabit unhealthy bodies and once the body becomes healthy they will leave.

I am not an expert tho

100%. Many things we view as pathogenic are in fact performing functions in the body to help it address underlying issues. Once those issues are addressed the "pathogens" generally resolve into a benign state or leave the body. Even things which appear to truly pathogenic, like Lyme's, are kept in check by a healthy body. The problem is the modern world has an increasing toxic load on the body making it harder to maintain a healthy homeostasis.

This is why you should not fear parasites, it is why Aajonus wanted one, and it is why you could want one too if you need one:

From Aajonus book "Recipe for Living Without Disease"

Parasites are the most feared of "pathogens".  Parasites, too, have a symbiotic relationship with our bodies.  They consume and digest tremendous quantities of degenerative tissue in short periods.  Joel Weinstock, a gastroenterologist who heads a research team at the university of Iowa stated that we are the first population to be without gut worms.  He asked six patients with very painful, intractable inflammatory bowel disease to drink the eggs of Trichurissius, a whipworm parasite normally found in the intestines of pigs.  Within two weeks, five of the six patients entered remission for up to five months.  The patients begged for more parasites.  Weinstock noted that intestinal problems are increasing in animals because they are kept too clean.  Pigs and monkeys raised in sterile pens and cages are getting diseased.

My comment:
After searching for "Joel Weinstock whipworm", I found the article below.
I learned that these worms also have 3 positive benefits to the immune system, and also contribute to a healthy gut microbiome.

God made everything "good", like it says in Genesis.  When man removes or adds things because he thinks he knows better, it destroys God's creation and the natural balance.
I think general cleanliness is good, but being too clean can cause issues.
My dog eats cow poo when we go to the farm.  Why does he do that?
My farmer shipped cow poo to a guy in NYC because he wants to eat it.  Why would he do that?

I can understand this all in theory, but if I eat raw meat and have a parasite infection from it with symptoms, I don't know how it would be a good thing.  If this does happen, how does one recover from it without medication?  Does he answer this in his book? thanks.

Generally, I would think Aajonus would not recommend eliminating parasites, because of their benefits.
However, at one point, he said he craved raw onion, and ate an onion or part of one raw and it expelled a parasite.

I have also seen natural parasite remedies on the innerweb but I don't have any experience with them.

How it would be a good thing is that they eat large quantities of things that you don't want in your body and they aid in digestion.  That is why they are there.  Once they do their job they go dormant or leave.  No need normally to control or change them.
