Title: Got really sick
Post by: whatever on December 14, 2009, 08:41:57 pm
Hi, got really sick Saturday in the middle of the night, puked every thing out.
This is what I eat:
some France frites (maybe 100-150 gram) I don't usually eat this it was saturday and felt like it.
200 gram's of lam meat raw (also not usually eat this, don't know if it was frozen or not).
300 grams of fat beef raw I always eat this, alright it was a bit old maybe 4 days that's also normal for me (it's frozen before entering the store).
300 grams porkmeat, bacon like, cooked not raw paleo but paleo 8).

What do you think is the most likely suspect that gets me sick. I think the lam or frites?

My guess is the French Fries.
Potato is inflammation causing.
Seed oils aka cooking oil the potato was fried in is inflammation causing.
Maybe it had chemical manufactured salt in it too.
Maybe it had MSG in it too.

Plus carbohydrates fried in fat is the big number 1 no no according to Dr. Henry Bieler.

Potatos + meat + fat = very pure digestion
It's well known that it's very bad to eat meat with carbs such as grains, potatoes, etc.; when you add a lot fat it'll be even worse.
French fries = a lot of AGEs

The only meats I've ever thrown up after were a cooked hot dog, a raw adrenal or raw mustard with a piece of raw tongue.  I have gotten an awful migraine and thrown everything up after a small serving of potato fried.  I didn't normally eat that, but my family was starving me on a (rare) trip.  I was not (R)AF and from time to time got motion sickness and/or migraines anyway.  I'd say it was the fries that made you throw up.

It's the fries. I've noticed, myself, that after going RVAF for a while, I would vomit up the food if I ate any sizeable amounts of cooked animal food; it just didn't digest well, you see, so stuck around much longer in the upper stomach than raw food, so that if I ate more than a small amount, I'd vomit the stuff up.

It's so strange to think that you can get so ill (Sunday i was feverish and sick) only from some fries, I used to eat this once a week in large quantities and no real problems. This summer I also ate some fries and I chocked on the first few. I forgot that, lesson learned the hard way :)

But yesterday evening had my large piece of "aged" fatty beef with raw butter and a little bit of pepper and raw honey and tasted very good, no ill fealings :) :).

btw the lam tasted a bit like salmon also very nice but it's to expensive :).

Thank you all.

This is just your body's natural way of defending itself.
It's telling you that stuff is bad, please don't feed it that again.

Who doesn't have that childhood experience of going out to dinner with the family, eating your burger and fries w/ ketchup lots of water or soda, etc. The kicker being the fries, of course. Yuck! Then within the following hours feeling uncomfortable/ill (sometimes to the point of vomiting> on cue!  -v ) or feeling groggy, headachy, or better yet, the classic "I wish I didn't eat that"/regretting having eaten at all! I'd rather have starved myself! What the hell's wrong with me! Or going to the buffet intent on gout, and walking out instead with "Oh god! Please spare me this painful death! Release the curdled bolus that plagues my stomacular unit! Augggggg! And no vomit please! Nothing worse than blowing canned vegetables out my nose after the fact! None of that, please! GOD!!!!!!!!!".

"Sigh." - Charlie Brown

That was always a good one.  ;)

A final point. As my family brews up some Strei'ts boxed latkes for Chanukah this evening, bathing them in bubbling canola oil, only one thing comes to mind>  :(  :'( :( ??? -[ -v              ;)

I was thinking for a second they could at least use tallow or ghee to make them, but seems the oil is the most important part:

But the Hanukkah isn't in the potato; it's in the oil the latkes are fried in. When the Jerusalem Temple was recaptured and reconsecrated by the Maccabbees, only one night's worth of oil remained to light the temple.

oh yea, I agree with the not putting it back in your body.  Once you go paleo, it's really tough to go back.  I react to everything now.  I can't drink beer.  I can't even eat sourdough bread.  No more chocolate.  In about 3 days of eating neo, my skin is nasty.  Your body in it's own way will try to reject or push out the toxins in those foods.  People will think you're a hypochondriac, but they never experienced good health themselves.  It's worth it to me, I love how paleo makes me feel and I love it when chicks check me out.
