Title: help on workout videos
Post by: ididItagain on January 26, 2010, 11:48:52 am
My BMI just hit the right mark and I’m proud of what I’d achieved with losing weight. But now I’d like to focus at my abdominals and maybe later some strength training. Where can I get exercise videos for that?

What is your BMI? How much BF% do you estimate that you have?  It might not be the right time yet to work on abs depending on how lean you are.  Like any other muscle it needs intense stimulation, so you must give it a reason to grow.  I recommend weighted crunches and cable pulldowns, use as much weight as you possible can.  I would even strongly recommend squats due to the core muscles they stimulate.

Ive read several articles saying that the constant up and down motion from crunches will wear down a membrane in your spine and eventually lead to back problems. Just keep it in mind.
