Title: Best Veggies to Juice?
Post by: Coatue on August 10, 2010, 09:43:32 pm
I've just recently gone completely raw and my eventual goal (probably in late Fall) is to got completely zero carb. However, for now I'm looking to get some plant food in via juicing. What are the best vegetables to juice to complement raw animal food?

any herbs like cilnatro, parsley, dandelion, lambs quarters etc..

some kind of liquid powerhouse like cellery, cucumbers (might want to peel first)

then there are things like carrots, beets of course. Probably best to minimize those.

if you mix an egg (or many) with juice it tends to 'keep your stomach more acidic' meaning its easier to handle animal foods later on. or so they say. Seems to work fine for me when I was doing it.

Carrots are sweet. But taste the best juiced.

Should one mix vegetables to juice or are you better off keeping one vegetable to a  juice?

Juicing veg is  indeed not palaeo. Veggie-juice discussions can either be held in the hot topics forum or the primal diet forum(or possibly the weston-price forum - not sure if the WAPFers condone veggie-juicing).
