What about adding a Live Chat Box ( Facebook kinda like) to the forum?
So homies can talk to each other live when possible?

What would be the limits on what we could have?
Would we be limited on space? Is there only so many features we could have here before it started slowing down the forum?
The forum is well-organised, and whilst this stuff might be nice, I don't see that it'd be worth it if it would mean increased costs.
It might be cool to have a chat-box. This could be used for shout-outs, random things, and also to invite people to go somewhere else to chat e.g. skype/msn.
It could also be neat to have a chat-room, and of course we could use the chat-box to say we're in the chat-room I suppose.
I suppose that if we are limited on space, there could be created a new sub-section of the forum, with sticky posts detailing various rooms. E.g. if we had off-forum chat-rooms, skype rooms etc... We could just had stickies with the details to get to these rooms. Also, people could post non-sticky in that same sub-forum to say when they'll be online etc..

GS is the main admin and this is at his discretion. One of the biggest hurdles is none of us mods have experience with the coding for the feature so have not pursued it too in-depth. We have spoken in the past about it though. :)
FWIW we came up with this (http://www.rawpaleoforum.com/personals/raw-paleo-forum-chat/) as a way of real-time communication. No one seems to use it though but it is there if people wants to start using it again. ;)

What was the consensus on this matter? A live chat room would be pretty cool. The link that djr_81 posted no longer works, and neither does the one that Primal Lady posted.

there could be times posted to log on for specific topics, or non specific topics.
