Why is this in Weston Price?

I don't think those people look all that good. Having said that, any group who can survive in a harsh environment pretty much in the wild are impressive to me. But I saw some messed up teeth and the old people look pretty rough.

Why is this in Weston Price?
These are hunter-gatherers, presumably on a semi-raw-palaeodiet. As for them not looking good, Stefansson pointed out that Arctic peoples routinely had teeth worn down to the roots due to constantly eating raw fish soaked with grit/sand etc. And living in the Arctic must be pretty harsh on the constitution.

Why don't they wash off the grit/sand?

I presume the fish is impregnated with the grit so can't be gotten rid of so easily.

They don't really look too healthy. Most people's teeth look horrible. Obviously, they all smoke a lot. Would be a nice illustration to what is happening to native tribes when they start eating "white men" foods. The text states that they eat a lot of animal foods (seafood and caribou), raw, preserved, smoked, salted, and boiled; some vegetation, like berries and sea vegetables; and also supplement their diet with "imported" sugar and white flour products. White flour "porridge" and flat bread fried in walrus oil are now their staples.

Seeing some young people wearing glasses... not a good sign. I believe if they get rid of smoking, and all other non-paleo food from their diet, they all will look much healthy.
