Many, many times. I have to buy them live and then store them in the freezer for a few hours to get them into suspended animation , then I use a hammer on top of a meat-knife to cut the body/claws into sections and prise the meat out. It tastes wonderful, but there isn't all that much flesh inside.

I've had lobster, crab, shrimp, sea urchin, and prawns raw. They are all delicious. The lobster is even more delicious than when it's cooked.

The meat is so tender and succulent, some of my favorite meat eats in the world, along with fresh (as in the animal died only minutes before) wild turkey liver.
