Title: Newbie Help - Ground Beef and Pet Food
Post by: Fermenter Zym on February 12, 2011, 08:11:03 am
I found a great local grass-fed beef supplier that also sells ground turkey organs as pet food. I am still unsure if the they turkey organs are safe for human consumption, but if they are, would eating this turkey organ pet food mixed with ground beef supply enough fat in my RPD?

If not, what should I supplement with? Raw egg yolks?

Try grassfed meats.

I avoid fowl unless it's wild fowl like raw wildcaught mallard duck  or other wildcaught bird, a domesticated fowl seem to be almost always fed on 100 percent grain diets , however organic.

They are pastured turkeys if that makes any difference...

If you are planning on going RZC, then you likely need some extra fat such as raw marrow, raw suet or raw eggs. Otherwise, with a few carbs, it should be fine.
