Title: Karl Loren's Journal
Post by: Satya on September 10, 2008, 10:53:36 am
It is an interesting read from an older gentleman who went raw on the Primal Diet 8 years ago and then stumbled into social dilemmas.  He still advocates the diet, is low carb, and offers a great website resource.

I thought others might enjoy reading it as I do.

His website was an absolute lifesaver for me, 7 years ago or so. At the time, as a last resort, I'd spent all my free time just Googling for raw meat diets for humans and only ever finding pages devoted to raw vegans or raw BARF diets for pets. After weeks of searching, I finally found his website and was able to find out which terms to look for (ie "Primal Diet", "Aajonus Vonderplanitz" etc.), so that a few other raw-meat diet-websites were finally discoverable by me.

I've spoken to Karl (not his real name) a few times over the course of the last few years. He is a very thoughtful and wise man. He never really went full blown primal, but his experiments and promotion of Aajonus's diet open a lot of people's minds to alternative diets and thinking.

I would reccomend anyone to visit his website. www.karlloren.com

I don't think he updates it anymore, but that's not to say you can't learn anything from it.

Saved me too.  I first found him while I was vegan and looking for the best supplements.  I've met him.  Great person.  Geoff, aajonus, Karl, Pietro, Stanley and a few others knowingly or not are responsible for so many lives saved.

Oh yes Tyler, didn't notice that the year on the post was 2008, I thought it was this Sept that she posted this.

Satya did indeed leave this forum (and a couple of others as well).  She is pretty busy with home schooling her kids and other life commitments and so has put the various forums she used to haunt on the back burner for the foreseeable future.  If you want to get in touch with her, your best bet is through the website she manages which can be found here:
