Title: SAD Compatability
Post by: OldeSword on November 03, 2008, 09:26:04 am
I am wondering what experiences you all have or if you have any tips or tricks for still being able to eat the standard American diet (or any other modern diet) after going raw paleo. I ask because I want to go raw paleo but I can't expect the rest of my unit, friends, family or business associates to do the same. I still need to be able to digest food at the Marine Corps Ball, down an MRE, eat at family functions and take clients/businessmen out to dinner.

Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. :)

When I'm out on socials, just to be cordial, I will eat cooked fatty meat, raw ripe fruits or raw vegetables... whichever I see is more healthy or least damaging.  As a rule, I stuff myself and my kids at home before going to a party or a restaurant because you can't expect the common people to come up with anything healthy in mind.  Worst case, I brought my own food and slyly ate raw meat.

People either eat "high-meat"  or take EM-products before any cooked-meal(some also take additional enzyme-supplements) so as to minimise detox-issues  and/or they deliberately only eat the healthier cooked-foods. So, in my own case, I buy and share  organic christmas puddings at christmas as they don't contain vegetable-oils(nonorganicones give me extreme fatigue) etc.
