That's an outrage, even more reason to buy wild caught.

One would think that such people would be permanently banned from ever fishing again. I mean, this is a foul practice. Well, I fear this is all due to overpopulation. With such large populations, the incentive to make extra, criminal profits just in order to scrape a living, is very great.

This is an open industry practice, part of their "manual" of generally accepted principles.  Their logic is that chicken feed is digested is only 30%.  So there is that 60% feed nutrition in chicken shit that can be eaten by the farmed fish.

Most of the chicken feeds have gmo corn in them.

Farmed fish in the Philippines eating chicken shit are:

1. Catfish
2. Milkfish
3. Tilapia

So be wary of the 3 fish items above if they are exported from the Philippines.

Using manure of animals to make the soil rich is good if the manure is from organic raised and fed animals.

For example, as best practice for raising organic papaya in Palawan, the farmers use a sack full of organic cow / carabao shit in the soil where you plant the papaya tree.

Some of the best papaya fruit comes out of that.
